Society in the Dark

Society in the Dark is a Penned to Good Society game meant to facilitate the creation of longform crime stories. It was originally intended to emulate the overall tropes and sensibilities of Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould’s TV series Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul, particularly the latter. It is, however, able to create a variety of organized crime stories in different molds as well, and facilitates character-focused freeform roleplaying in an organized crime setting.

To play, you will need:

1. At least one person with a working knowledge of Good Society.
2. One or more other players.
3. This document.
4. A playsheet, which you can copy from the template here.
5. At least two sessions of at least 3 hours each.
